Persian vocals meet Western harmonies. Joy meets contemplation. World music flows into pop, blends with Latin American reggae - and carries the echo of a music box long buried iin the sand, where the river Göhl winds its way from Eastern Belgium to the blue waters of Lake Göy Göl in the mountains of Azerbaijan.
When people come together to share ideas, their shadows merge into one. In Persian, there's a poetic phrase for this: Ham Sayeh - kindred spirits standing so close, they castt only one single shadow.
That's the spirit behind Ham Sayeh, the duo project of Sanaz Zaresani (vocals) and Boris Bansbach (guitar, vocals), born from a TED Talk performance and driven by an unstoppable wave of creativity. With the addition of Uwe Böttcher (violin & double bass) their sound became even richer and more textured.
Their songs transcend genres and languages, aiming to connect - not just styles, but people. And when the audience joins in and sings along in many different tongues, something magical happens.
Ham Sayeh is where sounds, cultures and emtions converge.
